Aimee Cruver

Aimee Cruver

Hi! My name is Aimee Cruver and I have been working with young children, teens, and families for 15 years. I attended UW in 2003 and became a Social Worker in 2007. I currently work with children, teens, and parents in a mental health agency.

I have always wanted to go to Africa. In January 2011 I traveled with 10 other Americans to Guinea for a drum and dance camp hosted by Karim Koumbassa and Sarah Lee Parker Koumbassa. I experienced the day-to-day culture in the neighborhood and in the surrounding areas and communities. I was inspired by the amount of warmth and love that we all received during our stay.

One year later, I was invited to join the GKEF board. I began assisting with plans for the 5th annual benefit concert on November 10, 2012 and will be in charge of volunteer coordination.

I am very proud to be a part of the GKEF team!
